Leavenworth to Wenatchee, WA

Okay! Recovery Day complete. We got our bike gears improved for the rest of the Rockies (11-32T rear cassette upgrades for you gear heads. Still not quite a 1:1 gearing ratio, but we can walk at that point.) and moved our seats up a cm to take some of the strain off our knees. Cruised the 25 mile stretch from Leavenworth to Wenatchee, found the milkshake stand and an awesome Warm Showers host for the night. Marina and Rich not only opened their yard to us but fed us dinner, breakfast, helped talk over our route options, and made sure we got to hang out with their two adorable sons. Thank you guys!! (FYI www.WarmShowers.org is a network that connects traveling cyclists with hosts--usually other cyclists--for a free place to shower and camp, often in their backyard)

Today we're back in the saddle for a proper day's ride. Take two!
